Tammy Sue Ballard was born on April 13, 1964 at Jackson County Memorial Hospital in Altus to Carl Douglas and Mary LuluBell (Jolly) Ballard. She attended Altus Schools and was a member of HOSA. She graduated with the Class of 1982. Tammy enjoyed fishing, music, and being 'on the go' all the time. She loved life, especially being with her family and her boys. Tammy is a member of the Cherokee Tribe of Oklahoma and of Abundant Life Baptist Church in Mangum.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Mary LuluBell; maternal grandparents, W.A. "Pop" and Allie Delcina Jolly; paternal grandparents, Charlie and Etta Terrell Ballard; sister, Cynthia K. Ballard Bearden; brother, Johnny D. Ballard; brothers-in-law, Danny Mack Mains and Glenn Wilke; and former husband and love of her life, Marcus Wayne "Skip" Wright.

Those left to honor Tammy's memory are her sons, Wesley Douglas Ballard and Travis Preston Wright; granddaughter, Alexis Katherine "Lexie" King; siblings, Carl Ann Ward and husband, Bobby, Kathy Monday, Tommy Joe Ballard, and Teresa Wilke; brother-in-law, Jeff Bearden; aunts, Kate Horton and Etta Faye Dill; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and friends.
