Akron native, Gene E. Baxter, 66, of 2048 Congo st., passed away on Friday, Nov. 4. after a long illness.
The lifetime Akron resident retired from NRM Corp. in 1978 after 27 years of service as an electrician. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police Auxillary and County Line Lodge No. 60.
He leaves his wife, Margaret; three granddaughters; a brother, Kenneth Cole of Silver Lake; aunts, Erna Dutt of Wadsworth, and Ruby Tener of Northhampton.
Services on Tuesday at 1 p.m. in Eckard-Baldwin Funeral Home. Interment in Hillside Memorial Park.
