Marvin R. Hoffer, 83, of Manheim and formerly of Campbelltown passed away Saturday, February 25, 2023.



Born December 15, 1939 in Deodate, he was a son of the late Simon and Jennie (Mengel) Hoffer. He was the widower of Betty L. (Pankake) Hoffer and also preceded in death by siblings Jay Hoffer, Simon Hoffer, Jr., Allen Hoffer, Lois Haldeman and Ruth Fisher.



Retired from Hershey Foods, he attended Faith Baptist Church, Lebanon.



Surviving are his wife Marie A. (Noll) Via Hoffer; daughter Kim D. Swinehart (Richard A.) of Campbelltown; son Marvin Ray Hoffer, II (Ann L.) of Mount Joy; brothers Alvin Hoffer and Donald Hoffer; sisters Mary Ann Nye and Linda Turner; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; step daughters Tina Harris (Chris) of Mims, Florida and Penny Hagerty of Wilmington, Delaware; step son Caroll Via of Winter Park, Florida; one step granddaughter; and two step great grandchildren.



A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church, 220 South 22nd Street, Lebanon. Private interment in St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, Hummelstown.



In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice for All Season, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028 or American Parkinson Disease Association, PO Box 61420, Staten Island, NY 10306.
