Hello. Here is some biographical/genealogical information on Joseph Riggs and his children which I hope will be of use for his Find-A-Grave memorial:

Joseph Riggs married firstly on 4 Aug. 1761 in New Canaan, Ct., to his first cousin Mary Keeler (1742-c.1763) -- their only son was Daniel Riggs, who is named in the 1764 will of his grandfather Daniel Keeler. Joseph married secondly on 18 Sept. 1764 to Margaret Resseguie (1740-1842), with whom he had several children.

Riggs genealogist Alvy Ray Smith discusses the children of Joseph Riggs in his paper "Edward Riggs (1593-1672) Immigrant in 1633 to Roxbury, Massachusetts: His Family Through Twelve Generations – Part II: The New Jersey Branch”, as follows:

"Problem: The Resseguie Family genealogy has Jonathan as the only son of Mary Keeler, and doesn’t list Daniel at all. It gives the following children to the second marriage, to Margaret Resseguie: (1) James Riggs; (2) Miles Riggs; (3) Ira Riggs; (4) Timothy Riggs; (5) Sarah Riggs; and (6) Esther Riggs. I shall follow the Whitney genealogy for Daniel as it proves that Daniel was grandson of Daniel Keeler, Mary’s father. The Keeler genealogy agrees with (probably copies) the Whitney genealogy. I shall leave Jonathan unresolved. And I shall use the Resseguie genealogy for Margaret’s children. Note that Esther and James are children in both accounts, but the Whitney genealogy questions James."

Note that no source ever mentions a son of Joseph Riggs named "Jedediah." The parentage of Jedediah Riggs of Michigan is apparently unknown.
