Russell Lee Wagner, passed away on Wednesday February 22nd surrounded by loved ones. He was born March, 28th of 1964 in Nashville, TN to James Howard Wagner & the late Sarah Helen Wright Wagner.

He is survived by his husband of 7 years, Chris L Thrift, however they have been together 17 years. His brother, Jack Wagner (Savannah) of Nashville, TN. A special aunt, Kay Nelson of Portland, TN. A close cousin Connie Ray of Cincinnati, OH. Longtime friends Ronny & Doris Dixon of Kingston Springs, TN. Also a host of other family that he loved dearly.

Russ was such a easy going and caring person. An argument with him was something you just didn't have. Russ was very dedicated to his family. He loved his coin and stamp collection. His sense of direction was something he was known for. He was a car enthusiast, especially fond of his MG.

A celebration of life will be held at Mount Olivet Funeral Home on Monday February 27, 2023. The family will receive friends starting at 12 noon until 2 pm. A service will begin in the chapel at 2pm. A graveside will follow at 3 pm at the Terrace Mausoleum.
