SWITCHMAN, DIES
Hans H. Koch, 68, RFD 3, Chesterton, died Sunday morning in Porter Memorial hospital after an illness of six months. He was retired switchman for the E J & E railroad.
The decedent had lived in Chesterton for the past 30 years. He was born Aug 7, 1884 in Germany, the son of Emil J. and Katherine Koch. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen and the Augsburg Lutheran church.
He is surviced by his widow, Hattie (Gateson) Koch, two sons, Harry and Arthur and a daughter, Lorraine. A brother, Crist, resides in Chicago.
Funeral services are Tuesday at Flynn-Johnson Funeral home with the Carl I. Fant of Augsburg Lutheran church officiating. Burial in Chesterton cemetery.
