OBITUARY for Mary Verna Dugas Anderson
July 6, 1926 - October 24, 2020

A private Graveside service will be held for Mrs. Mary Verna Dugas Anderson at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Verna was 94 when she passed away at her residence in Lafayette on Saturday, October 24, 2020.

Entombment will be in Lafayette Memorial Park Mausoleum.

Pastor Shawn Marcell will conduct the funeral service.

Mrs. Verna was a very loving mother to her family and extended family. She was a God fearing woman who instilled faith in all of her children.

Some of her hobbies included, cooking, gardening, dancing, music and sewing. She will be remembered for her laughter and her loving presence. Memories of her will be cherished by all who knew her.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandra Anderson Hebert and Cynthia Anderson Baudoind'Ajoux; ten sons, Ron Stephenson, Gary Stephenson, Curtis Stephenson, Scott Stephenson, Randy Anderson, Marlowe Anderson II, Stacy Anderson, and Bruce Anderson, Blaine Anderson, Carl Cole; twenty-nine grandchildren; twenty-eight great grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.

Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Marlowe "Andy" Leroy Anderson; her first husband, First Lt. Clarence Arthur Stephenson and her son, Andy Anderson.

Pallbearers will be Randy Anderson, Stacy Anderson, David Hebert, Carl Cole, Caleb Hebert, and Joshua Anderson.
