Served in the 13th South Carolina Company B. He died of wounds received at the Battle of 2nd Manassas. He was from Spartenburg County, South Carolina

Anthony was the son of William Wilburn Crocker and his wife, Nancy.

Anthony's brother, William W. Crocker, was also in the 13th Regiment South Carolina Infantry. William also died during the war, at age 19, on 12 Aug 1862, in Laurel Hill, Virginia.
