Laura traveled with her parents, sister, and her mother's family, the Maupins, by covered wagon from Missouri to Solano County, California in 1850. Her mother, Amanda (Maupin) Lamme, died of cholera on the Overland Trail in June 1850.
Laura visited her relatives in Missouri in 1871. While there she married William B. White. After awhile they returned to live in Vacaville, Solano County, California. William died in 1878 and Laura remained a widow the rest of her life. They had no children.

May 8, 1923 edition of the San Francisco Examiner;
WHITE -- In Oakland, May 5, 1923. Laura L. White. Dearly beloved niece of Mrs. G.B. Stevenson and aunt of Miss Emma Cunningham, a native of Missouri.

UPDATE: In my search for Laura's resting place and knowing that her husband (William B. White) is buried at Vacaville Elmira Cemetery, as are some of her other family members (Hawkins & Lamme), I decided to have a closer look there. What I found is interesting. For the last years of her life, Laura lived with her aunt, Annie Maupin Stevenson. Thanks to a diligent contributor (Dee G.), the zoomed in photo of William's grave shows headstones for two young Stevenson children near his grave. One of those is Clara Estelle Stevenson #136737013, daughter of Annie (Maupin) Stevenson. Annie was the closest living relative to Laura and no doubt was in charge of her burial. Considering also the close proximity to Laura's residential location for most of her life, it only makes sense that she is buried there near her husband, even though there seems to be no visible evidence. Annie probably intended to have Laura's name engraved on the tall headstone of her husband, but she soon moved to Texas to be with her living sons and died there not long afterwards.
The sensible conclusion is that Laura is buried next to her husband at Vacaville-Elmira Cemetery in Solano County. I will keep searching to verify or disprove however.
