Mr. Perrie 'Perk' Boyd, age 87 of Dover, TN was called home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2023.

He was born in Stewart County on March 31, 1935 the beloved son of the late Frank and Pattie Crutcher Boyd.

As a young man in high school, he took classes in building trades and developed a skill he used later in life as a carpenter around the home, building cabinets for their home. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force. He worked many years as a Tech Representative for Xerox Corporation in St. Louis, MO. Perrie loved the Lord, attending First Baptist Church in Dover serving as a Deacon and Sunday School Director for many years. Perrie and his wife, Loretta spent many years working with the Southern Baptist Student Ministry in Carbondale, ILL. Together, they traveled the world spreading the good news of the Lord and Savior.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers; Howard Boyd, Dale Boyd, Hal Boyd, sisters; Margie Batton and Lodema Crutcher.

Perrie married the love of his life on February 1, 1958, Loretta Woodson Boyd. She was a loving, caring and devoted wife for 65 wonderful years.

He is survived by brothers; Donnie Boyd of Dover, TN and Sammy Boyd of PA, sisters; Frances Finley of Dover, TN, Ruth Grimes of AL and Faye Abercrombie of GA, several nieces, nephews and many loyal friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 27, 2023 beginning at 9:30 am and continuing until the hour of the funeral service at 11:00 am at Anglin Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Head officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Cemetery in Dover, TN. The deacons of First Baptist Church Dover will serve as pallbearers.

Mrs. Loretta request, in lieu of memorials, donations be made to First Baptist Church Dover for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering.

Arrangements are entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, TN.
