Marion Charles "Charlie" Anderson, Jr., age 70, of Electra, Texas, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023 in Electra.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Aulds Funeral Home of Electra with Roger Sanford, Pastor of Electra Community Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Electra Memorial Park under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home of Electra.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 24, 2023 at Aulds Funeral Home.
Charlie was born March 7, 1952 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Marion Charles Anderson, Sr. and Geneva Irene Copeland Anderson.
He graduated from Electra High School in 1970.
Charlie and Susan Mersiovsky were married May 10, 1975 in Clara, Texas.
He worked in the oil and gas industry as a superintendent for JVIC in La Porte, Texas until his retirement in 2020.
Charlie enjoyed playing cards, pinochle, dove hunting and cooking. He loved church and especially loved being a BopBop to his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Susan of Electra; daughter, Robin Ivy and husband, Terry of Wichita Falls; son, Aaron Anderson and wife, Amanda of Dumas; brother, William Anderson and wife, Angie of Holliday; sister, Linda Nix of Electra; four grandchildren, Ryan Anderson, Morgan Melton and husband, RJ, Matthew Anderson and wife, Jill, and Kevin Anderson; two great-grandchildren, Alaster and Rowan Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded by his sister, Judy McAlister.
The family suggests memorials to Electra Community Church, 1210 North Bailey, Electra, Texas 76360.
