Ted Sears, 71, of Flora, IL died at 12:40 AM Saturday, March 1, 2008 at his home.
He was born March 20, 1936 in Odon, IN to William & Angie (Isenogle) Sears. He married Kay C. Camp on December 9, 1989 in Sailor Springs, IL.
Ted retired as plant manager for KSH in Flora after 9 years. He also worked for McCord Corporation for 20 years, Fedders Manufacturing for 3 years, and was a member of the First Christian Church in Odon, IN.
He is survived by his wife: Kay Sears of Flora; children: Kevin Sears of Odon, IN, Bob Brown & wife Alecia of Hermitage, AR, Kyna Sears and partner Karen Morris of Newburg, IN, Rebecca Hildebrand of Flora, and Leon Thurman & wife Amy of Xenia; 9 grandchildren: Justin, Jimmie, Tyson, Justin, Jarrad, April, Dustin, Jeremy, and Travin; 1 great-grandchild: Alexander. He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 sisters (Geneive Callahan, Nellie Vonda Sears, Margaret Lucille Sears & Mable C. Kelly), and 3 brothers (Harry Lee, Harold Joseph & William Morris Sears).
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Poindexter-Hall-McClure Funeral Home in Odon, IN. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery, Odon, IN. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora, IL and also on Wednesday from 12 PM (noon) until time of service at Poindexter-Hall-McClure Funeral Home in Odon, IN.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and may be received at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.
