Franciska, daughter of Joseph Gorel and Margarethe Frenin, was born in Poniszowice, Poland and baptised 13 Aug 1808 at St. John the Baptist Church. She married John Kindla (1805-1883) in her home 19 Oct 1831. Known as a "zimmermann" or carpenter in the old country, he was wheelwright and farmer in Bandera.

The couple resided in Centawa and had already lost six children when the decision to leave their homeland was made. The family arrived 3 December 1854 at the port of Galveston on the bark Weser, and reached Bandera 2 Feb 1855 with many of the immigrant families from that voyage.

Not long after Franciska died, about age 48. The exact date and her burial place in Bandera have been lost over time.

Her husband and his second wife, Margaret, are buried at St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
