Mickey Hunter Andrews

Mickey Hunter Andrews, 77, passed away Monday, February 21, 2023 peacefully in his sleep.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Pinckard Baptist Church at 1 PM with Rev. Chris Woodall officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 24, 2023 from 4-6pm at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Mickey was born and raised in Pinckard, AL. He attended Dale County High School. He served in the US Navy as an aircraft mechanic. Mickey retired from the U.S. Dept of Defense in Fort Rucker, AL with over 20 years of service. He was a lifetime member of the National Rifleman's Association (NRA) and a staunch advocate for the Second Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Mickey was a generous donor to the Wounded Warrior Foundation. You could always find Mickey looking for ways to help his neighbors in the community. He was a Mason and a member of Newton Masonic Lodge. He was a member of Pinckard Baptist Church. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Foy Andrews; brother-in-law, Lamar Watson and brother-in-law, Harold Goolsby.
