Betty J. Showalter, 87, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born in Toppenish, Washington to Doris Keech and Robert Goodwin.

Betty is survived by her sons Steve(Teresa), Ed, daughter DeAnn, five grandchildren; Katie(Jeremy), Kellie(Eric), John, James, Nick(Julia) and seven great-grandchildren; Austin, Skylar, Haylee, Ryley, Scarlett, Liam, and Everleigh.

Preceding Betty in her death are her husband John, married 61 years, and son John Jr.

Betty retired after working 30 years at Consolidated Freightways. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, cooking, gardening, and going to the movies. Betty loved going out to restaurants and especially liked watching the food channels on TV. Betty had a wonderful sense of humor and she will be missed by many.

A celebration of her life followed by a luncheon will be held at Finley Sunset Hills, 6801 SW Sunset Highway, Portland, Oregon on Saturday, March 11th at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, Betty would've rather you donated to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
