She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence Savant Chapman and Presley J. Chapman, Sr.

Pris worked in Oncology for over 25 years and at Cancer Center of Acadiana since 2009. She loved her interactions and communications with patients and always made people feel cared about and at home. She had a beautiful smile and rare friendliness and charm of a personality. Pris touched thousands of lives over her years of service. She will be deeply missed by her many coworkers. Those that were blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceeds the quantity of time she stayed with us.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Lawrence Scott Bergeron and Donnell Angelle.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended by Pris' family to the staff of Oschner Lafayette General Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit for their exceptional care of Pris in her time of need; the staff of the Cancer Center of Acadiana for the many years of support and friendship; and especially Michael S. Cain, M.D., for his kindness, compassion, and dedication to Pris thoughout the 25 years of her employment with him.

Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Bergeron's name to The American Cancer Society PO Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123
