Milton was born to Fred & Anna (Reuer) Albrecht on September 2, 1949 in Bismarck. He was the youngest of three boys. Milton was raised on the family farm in Dawson, ND. Milton was not much for school and would often tell his mom he was sick. Miraculously, as soon as the school bus would leave, he felt well enough to go out and take care of his horses. Milton loved horses and would often be found breaking horses for neighbors as well. Farming and ranching was truly his passion above anything else. He also loved trapping, hunting, fishing and gardening.

Milton met Patty Schatz and they were married on October 28, 1978 in rural Tappen, ND at Glueckstal Church. Following their marriage, they started their home in rural Dawson where he continued to farm and teach Patty the farm life. Patty and Milton welcomed their two sons into their lives. Michael, the oldest, followed by Jason 14 months later. As a family, they traveled North Dakota and Minnesota where Milton was a farm hand at various ranches. During this time, he learned how to fly planes by one of the ranch bosses. Milton truly loved to fly! During one point of haying, Milton was befriended by a pheasant who would follow him around like a pet dog.

Milton and Patty finally ended up in Turtle Lake, ND where they purchased the local bowling alley and café in 1996. It was known locally as Ma & Pa's Country Lanes. They worked side by side for many years until they sold out. Milton hurt his back in 2000. Life was never the same for him as he wore a back brace for many years.

In later years, Milton went to work for Paul Weinberger, learning and helping Paul work on tractors but at 10 O'clock you would find many locals at the shop for coffee and conversation. Milton loved to visit.

With his pain continually getting worse, he ended up having to be at home. You would find him in the garage making bird houses for his beloved birds and always making sure they were filled with bird seed.

Milton welcomed his first grandchild in July of this year, which he was totally thrilled and excited with.

Milton is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patty of Turtle Lake; his sons: Michael (Jodi) of Mandan and Jason (Alexandra) of Washburn and his grandson, Eli; two brothers: LaVern (Charmaine) and Lawrence (Rita) both of Lincoln and 12 nieces and nephews.

Milton is preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law and father-in-law.
