He was a US Army Veteren and served in the Korean Conflict. He worked for Jack Cookie Company and Sunshine Biscuit Company. He retired from Civil Service aft serving for 17 years as Housing Inspector and Trailor Park Manager. He also spent many years working with Leesvile Little League Baseball Assoc.
He is survivied by his wife of 58 years, Kathrine Benson, one son Randy Benson & wife Susan o Leeville, one daughter Cathy B. Callaway & husband Lane Callaway of Shreveport, LA and Five Grandchildren, Alex & Thor Benson, Dusty & Amanda Callaway and Rachael Gunter.
Burial at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville.
