Ruth (Ruthie) Dolores Anderegg Kott of Fredericksburg passed away on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Hill Country Memorial, at the age of 92 years.

Ruth was born on June 14, 1930 in Fredericksburg, Texas to Dan L. and Bessie Geistweidt Anderegg. She was baptized and confirmed into the Christian faith at Edison Street Methodist Church.

Ruth is survived by one son and spouse, Brad and Sheryl Kott of Fredericksburg: two grandchildren, Griffin Kott and spouse, Morgan Kott, of Fredericksburg, and Blair Kott of Austin; three great grandchildren, Cooper Kott, Campbell Kott, and Charlie Kott all of Fredericksburg.

Along with her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest W. (Ernie) Kott; a son, Burt Kott; and a grandson, Quinn Kott.

Ruth was a lifelong resident of Gillespie County. She split her childhood between her home in Fredericksburg and the family's ranch in Doss, Texas. She graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown in February of 1951 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry. On July 26, 1953, she married Ernest (Ernie) Walter Kott.

After earning her Master's Degree in Education from Southwest Texas State University in 1967, Ruthie taught 6thgrade science at Peterson Middle School in Kerrville, Texas for 27 years.

The family would like to thank the healthcare providers at Hill Country Memorial hospital and Hill Country Memorial Hospice for their love and compassion. The family would also like to thank the many friends that touched her life and to those who have reached out to offer comfort and support to her family.

The family requests donations be made to the Quinn Kott Scholarship Fund through St. Mary's School, Hill Country Memorial Hospice, Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, or the charity of one's choice.

The family will greet friends on Thursday, February 23rd from 1 to 2 P.M. in the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church with Funeral Services at 2 P.M. with a reception to follow.
