Mrs. Helen P. Durham, 83, of Jellico, Tenn., died at 2:10 a.m. Friday, April 29, at Jellico Community Hospital.
She is survived by one son, Lewis F. Durham of Atlanta, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Rose Lynch of Chesapeake, Va., Mrs. Martha King of Jellico, Tenn., Mrs. Anna May Snyder* of Wheaton, Md.; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Roland Seeney, Olie Seeney and Joseph Seeney, all of Bridgeton, N.J.; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Durham of Hayward, Calif., Mrs. Mildred Pierce and Mrs. Renny Macy, both of Bridgeton, N.J.
Funeral services were held Saturday, April 30, at 7:30 p.m. at Ellison Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. P.D. Merlin. Burial was in Florida Memorial Gardens, Rockledge, Fla.
Ellison Funeral Home, Jellico, was in charge of arrangements.

*Note: Her obituary mentions a daughter named Anna May Snyder, but I believe this is a daughter of her husband's nephew Morris Durham & Agnes Heyman Durham. Agnes died when some of her children were young, and it appears the younger children (or at least younger girls) were "farmed out" to other relatives, including Anna May going to Helen & her husband. (This Anna May was not appearing in Roland & Helen's household in the 1940 census. She suddenly shows up in the 1950 census). (Agnes had died in 1943). (In the 1950 census, Morris only has sons Carl and Lewis/Louis with him).
