Buried here per Cemeteries of Northern Webster County by Stanley J. AndersonHas a brother named James and both were listed as nephews to Robert and Elizabeth McCray of Lewis County, WV.
In 1874 there are articles discussing the estate of Robert McCray and it lists both his and his brother's James' children.
Both James and Robert list their birthplace as Pendleton Co., WV.

Regarding Robert's uncle Robert and Elizabeth. Many people have him listed as the father of Robert and James...not true.

There are two Robert and Elizabeth McCrays.

One is in Pendleton Co., 1810, 1820, and then his widow Elizabeth is in 1830.

The other Robert and Elizabeth are in Bath Co., in 1810, and Lewis County, 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860, and according to a newspaper article written in 1870 in Lewis Co., Robert dies and his wife Elizabeth died in 1863.
The paper also mentioned he had two nephews, Robert and James. This memorial is the nephew Robert who also appears in Lewis County in 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860.
