Hans Michael "Mike" Laursen

Hans Michael Laursen passed away at his home in Vancouver, WA on January 11th.

Hans, or "Mike" as most in Warrensburg knew him, was born February 17, 1956 to Elaine and Harold Laursen. He was the youngest of five children. Hans is survived by two sons and their families: Kyle Laursen with his wife Katie and Hans's two grandchildren, Luke and Sandy of Sherwood, OR; and Jerek Laursen with his wife Sylvia of Vancouver, WA. He is also survived by his sister Barbara, three brothers; Tom, John, and Bill; as well as loads of nieces and nephews.

All who knew Hans, knew of his loud and boisterous nature. He loved hard and brought joy and laughter to those around him. He will be known for his "bad attitude" and sense of humor. He was able to make friends with anyone he met.

He will also be known for his 10 years in service to his country through his time in the Marines (75-80) and Navy (81-85). While in service, Hans was awarded many accolades for his achievements and attitude.

The list of things Hans will be remembered for could go on and on. He was truly loved and will be missed. His family will continue to treasure their memories of him and the stories passed down of all his adventures, both good and mischievous.

Service will be held on Friday, March 31st at 11am at Willamette National Cemetery.~~~ Crown Memorial Centers Burial & Cremation obituary
