Clifford moved to Love County at age 4, living in the county the remainder of his life. He was a peanut, cotton and dairy farmer. He was also employed at Weber Aircraft in Gainesville, Texas, and Marietta Bakery. He was a member of Courtney UMC. He and Cleo married Nov. 23, 1938, at Belleville. He was preceded in death by his wife; a son, his parents; three brothers, and sister. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, a grandson, and three step grandchildren.
