Norman was born on July 6, 1942, the son of Charles and Margaret (Glassman) Nehmer. On August 31, 1963 he was united in marriage to Sharon Parzy at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.
He was self-employed, working in construction his entire life. A Jack-of-all-trades, Norm thoroughly enjoyed working and helping others, especially his neighbors and his children with projects around their homes. Norman also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and going for rides.
Norman is survived by his wife Sharon of Fox Lake: six children, Laurie Nehmer of Beaver Dam, Debbie Nehmer of Florida, Norman Nehmer Jr. of Florida, Christine (Karl) Pieper of Beaver Dam, Mike (Jessica) Nehmer of Larsen, WI, Angie (Doug) Martin of Randolph; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one brother, Dick (Anita) Nehmer of Beaver Dam; sisters-in-law, Bev Nehmer of Waupun, Janet Nehmer of Beaver Dam, Donna Nehmer of Beaver Dam, Jane Nehmer of Randolph and LuAnn Nehmer of Hartford. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Brent; his brothers, Charles, Jerry, Donald, Herbert, Robert "Bud", Gordon, Jim, Ronald "Ron"; and his sisters, Delores Neuman and Judy Vujnovich.
Visitation for Norman will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Cornerstone Funeral & Cremation Services, 135 Keller Blvd., Beaver Dam from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Chaplain Dennis Richards will officiate.
