Leonor Socorro Gerbais Martinez, known to all her family and friends as Cora, peacefully was called by our Lord on January 31st, 2015. Born in Tucson, AZ on December 20th, 1924, Cora resided in Barstow, CA since 1947. She recently had moved to Rancho Cucamonga. She is preceded in death by her childhood sweetheart and husband, Frederico Flores Martinez, her parents Rafael Gerbais and Maria Leon Gerbais, and siblings, Vickie Orosco, Annie Valdez, Mary Orosco, Alice Romero, Antonio Gerbais and Ralph Gerbais. Cora is survived by her children Cecilia Goodale (Vincent), Fred B. Martinez, Mary Elenor Riddle, Albert Martinez (Cathy) and Ralph A. Martinez. Blessed with 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild, Cora left a legacy of love for them all. She was looking forward to welcoming another great-great-grandchild in May. Her goodnight blessings given to all her loved ones will be missed. Services will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 505 E. Mt View St., Barstow CA 92311 on Friday February 6th, 2015, with rosary at 9:00am and mass at 10:00am, reception to follow at Noonan Hall. Interment will be scheduled at a later date.
