Paul Bryant Hester, 73, a resident of Barstow, passed away Aug. 8, 2005 in Victorville. He was born April 18, 1932 in Tifftor, Ga.He worked as a plumber for 35 years. He was a member of the Barstow Elks Lodge #1920 and the Izaak Walton League of Orange County. He served in the United States Marines as a SSGT and received a National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal with one star, Korean PUC, and United Nations Service Ribbon. He took major courses in NCO Leadership. Survivors include his wife, Dee Hester of Barstow; daughter, Anna Dieckilman and her husband Kevin of Simi Valley; granddaughters, Adrienne Ellis of Maricopa, Ariz., and Heather Crouch of Huntsville, Ala.; great-granddaughter, Alexa Ellis of Maricopa, Ariz.; and great-grandson, Tyler Ellis of Maricopa, Ariz.
