Before retiring, he was the owner and president of Don Warner Chevrolet Buick in Gettysburg, PA. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1953, he was the class president. He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, as well as a collector of political memorabilia.
Don was a member and past exalted ruler of the Westminster Elks Lodge #2277, past president of the Westminster Jaycees, former member of the Gettysburg Rotary, and member of the Carroll County Historical Society.
He was predeceased by two sons, Donald B. Warner on September 19, 1981, and Gregory N. Warner on November 13, 1984. He was predeceased by five siblings: Nevin Warner, Evelyn Warner, Doris Zumbrum, Mildred Mays, and Glenn Warner. He was also predeceased by his late wife Jean Stoner Warner on December 28, 2003.
