Sherman Allen Walker, 73, of Bronson, Kansas, died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2008, at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 28, 1934, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of Samuel Robert and Patricia Ann (Gray) Walker.
On Jan. 10, 1953, he was married to Norma Cooney in Huntsville, Arkansas.
He retired due to ill health from a 30-year career as branch manager with Bankers Life and Casualty Insurance Company.
He was a member of the Hope Chapel Assembly of God in Moran, KS.
Survivors include his wife of the home; a son, Craig, Bronson, KS; four daughters, Pamela Constans and husband, Paul, Parsons, KS, Brenda Alter, Lawson, MO, Kimberly Saleh and husband, Jay, Lee's Summit, MO, and Sara Adams and husband, Billy, Bronson, KS; a sister, Jeane Chambers and husband, Warren, Buffalo, MO; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Two brothers, Bill and Robert died earlier.
Lloyd Houk will officiate at graveside services in the Bronson Cemetery in Bronson, Kansas under the direction of Cheney Witt Bronson Chapel.
Memorials suggested to Hospice Care of Kansas.
