Tom is survived by his wife of 34 years, MaryJo (née Kreutzer), his daughter, Karyn (Paul) Goodrich, son Ted Haider, stepsons, David (Michelle) Debes, Mark (Robin) Debes and nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Donna Migely, Carol Thorn and brother Donald H. Haider, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Genevieve (née Brennan) and Donald H. Haider.
Tom was a graduate of Faith Hope and Charity '48, New Trier High School '52 and Georgetown University '56, graduating as a Second Lieutenant (Army) and attaining the rank of Captain in the Reserve. He graduated from Northwestern Law School '60. Tom was in the investment business in Chicago for most of his working career: Vice President, First Chicago Investment Advisers, Regional Director for Mutual of New York and Vice President of the Illinois Company. Prior to retirement, Tom, was President of Haider Financial Services in Northbrook. Tom was an avid golfer, accomplishing two holes-in-one for which he was proud, played paddle tennis and was a Cubs and Bears fan. However, the pride and love for his children, his family and friends was foremost in his life.
A private burial will be held at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.
