Services will be at 2:30 P.M. Friday the 29th at the Church of Christ in Hollis. Jim Eckman will officiate the service. Burial will be in Cave Creek Cemetery at Vinson, OK. under the direction of Patterson-Coley Funeral Home.
Mr. King was born Sept. 8th, 1897 in Magnolia, Ark. He grew up in Rusk, TX. He was a farmer for several years. He was also a share cropper for much of that time.
He married Ollie Esther Cheatwood in 1919 in Supulpa Co., OK. He later bought a farm in Harmon Co. and farmed until 1944. He sold the farm to Cecil Weldon and moved to Hollis where he became a carpenter until his retirement in 1968.
Survivors include three sons, Delman King of Lubbock, TX., Emmet King of Walters, OK., and Dennis King of Memphis,TX. Two daughters, Dessie Fronterhouse of DeLeon, TX., and Jocie Hunter of Amarillo, TX., 18 grandchildren, 23 great grand children and 1 great great grandchild.
