Bernice ''Granny'' Beckom, 87, of LaGrange, died Saturday at Oak Manor Nursing Home.
The funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Westside Church of God, with burial in Shadowlawn Cemetery, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, LaGrange. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mrs. Beckom was born March 21, 1908, in Bowdon, daughter of Ida Johnson and Milton Perry Eason. She was a housewife, a resident of LaGrange for more than 40 years, and a charter member of Westside Memorial Church of God.
Survivors include five sons, Perry Beckom of LaGrange, James Beckom of Fayetteville, Bobby Beckom of LaGrange, Dick Beckom of Winter Haven, Fla. and Jack Beckom of Barnesville; five daughters, Ida Smallwood of Atlanta, Mary Ann South of Columbus, Janelle Peterman of Athens, Cathy Beckom of Atlanta and Carolyn Beckom of LaGrange; a sister, Nellie Sloan of Newport, Ore.; 24 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
