In the fall of 1950 in Bunker, Missouri, Rae Jean was united in marriage to William Dane Wilkins and to this loving union three children were born. William preceded her in death on March 7, 1971.
Rae Jean enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting, and taking care of her family. She made good candy and enjoyed cooking Sunday meals. Rae Jean worked in her family’s store “Cottrell’s” for at least 30 years.
Rae Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Randal Wayne Wilkins, one infant daughter, Kathleen Jean Wilkins, one brother, Bobby Cottrell, and one sister, Virginia Thompson.
Rae Jean is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Wisdom and husband Danny of Bunker, Missouri, daughter-in-law, Pamela Wilkins-Porter of Farmington, Missouri, sister-in-law, Billie Jean Cottrell of Bunker, Missouri, brother-in-law, Stanley Thompson of Festus, Missouri, 4 grandchildren, Jennifer and her special friend Christy of Desloge, Missouri, Jason and wife Laurie of Columbia, Missouri, Lacie of Desloge, Missouri, and Lance and wife Sarah of Farmington, Missouri, and 7 great-grandchildren, Heaven, Haylee, Clarah, Oliviah, Avahlee, Elizabeth and Connor. Rae Jean will be deeply missed by a host of relatives and many friends who will mourn her passing.
