Edith Abshire Bussey, 86, of Rocky Mount, died Sunday, October 3, 1999. She was a daughter of the late Charlie and Bessie Abshire.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Bussey; and a brother, Roy Abshire.
Surviving are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Woodrow and Rosalia Abshire, Bent Mountain, and C. T. and Alvera Abshire, Boones Mill, Jean Abshire, Vinton; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ethel and Lawrence Myers , Moneta, Mary and Jessie Tyree, Ferrum; a special friend, Millie Ayers.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, in Flora Funeral Chapel with Elder W. Lane Carter officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday with her family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Flora Funeral Service, South Main Street Rocky Mount.
