Grace Winona Thomas, 83 OCEANSIDE -- Grace Winona Thomas, 83, passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008. She was born July 28, 1924, in Nampa, Idaho, to Leonard and Naomi Snyder. Grace graduated from Oceanside/Carlsbad High School in 1942 and also earned an associates degree from Mira Costa College. She was a telephone operator for AT & T, was employed at Bectel Corp., and also worked at the La Costa Resort. Her favorite pastimes were sewing, reading and playing bingo. Grace is survived by her husband, Max Thomas of Oceanside; daughter, Bonnie (Peter) Crawford of Oceanside; son, Alan Thomas of Vista; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
