Joyce Elaine Kemna was born November 8, 1943, in Enid, Oklahoma, to Dale V. and Mable Scheffler Moore.
Joyce was baptized at the Hunter Christian Church. She was Confirmed at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas. Joyce graduated from Hunter High School in 1961. She went to Phillips University in Enid. Joyce later went to Wichita Business College in Wichita, Kansas.
Joyce married Willford Kemna at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wichita, Kansas, on September 6, 1969. They were married by Pastor Paul VonDielingen. They were married for 53 1/2 years. Joyce worked for Muller Floral as a bookkeeper in Wichita, Kansas. They lived in Huntsville, Alabama. Bill was in the Army. Bill and Joyce lived in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Joyce worked at Wirle Airflow as a bookkeeper. They later moved to Hunter, Oklahoma, where they started farming. She also worked at H&R Block in Enid and then for the last 13 years has been a caretaker at Brightway Healthcare.
Joyce is survived by her husband, Willford Kemna; son, Russell Kemna and wife Sharrane; son, Clinton Kemna; grandchildren, Makayla Kemna, Logan Tucker, Spencer Rigsby, Cheyanne Rigsby, Jonathan Rigsby; great-grandson, Adam Rigsby: one sister, Gloria Neighbor and husband Darryl.
Joyce is preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Linda Tucker.
Visitation will be 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home, Pond Creek. Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 13, 2023, at First Lutheran Church, Pond Creek, with Pastor Travis Orr officiating. Interment follows in White Cemetery, Hunter.
