Italian alpine ski racer. Focused on the speed events of downhill and super-G, she won two World Cup races in downhill nine years apart and won a silver medal at the 2005 world championships. She represented Italy at three Winter Olympics and four World Championships. In 2020 she announced her retirement from alpine skiing. She died from intestinal cancer.
