Survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Mary McMahon Marshall; three children, stepson Philip J. Bodungen, son Nicholas P. Marshall, wife Tammi Esposito Marshall, and daughter Lindsey Marshall Tonks, husband Russell J. Tonks.
Additionally he is survived by seven grandsons: Brandon, Derek, Rex, Rory, Oliver, Patrick, and Mason.
The youngest of nine children, Pat is preceded in death by his father, Everett P. Marshall, mother Beatrice McGlasson King, and seven siblings.
He is survived by a brother, Gregory Marshall, sister, Cheryl Marshall Ware, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Pat, as everyone called him, was quiet, steadfast, and generous with his love for family, friends, and the men he worked with and led at Thigpen Construction Co. for over 30 years.
An avid viewer of the Weather Channel and local nightly news, Pat could always tell you what to expect outside and what was going on around town. He was always ready to be at the helm of a crawfish or shrimp boil when his family asked. He greatly enjoyed fishing in the Gulf of Mexico with his boys and friends.
He will always be remembered for his patience, kindness, and ability to never complain about anything.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services. A visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie, LA. from 9:00 am until 11:00 am followed by a Memorial Mass at 11:00 am.
