Born in Delphi on Dec. 25, 1930, he was the son of the late Elmo and Wanda May Hicks Peacock. He was a graduate of Jefferson High School.
He married Marda Hague on June 19, 1951, in Camp Polk, La.
Mr. Peacock worked in sales for Korschot's Heating and Air Conditioning for 46 years, retiring in 1995.
He served in the Army during the Korean War with Battalion 393 and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Post 11. He enjoyed golf and bowling.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, Chester Peacock Jr. (Debra), David Peacock (companion: Janelle) and Michael Peacock; two daughters, Melinda Timmons (Monee) and Sue Young (Bob); his stepfather, Walter Bible;
eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by a brother, Harold Peacock, and a sister, Evelyn Peacock.
