Jeffrey Neal Douglas was born June 15, 1960 in Chickasha, Oklahoma, the son of Ronald Dean Douglas and Deloris Jean (Reynolds) Rodgers. He passed from this life on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in Oklahoma City, after a battle with cancer.
Jeff graduated from Amber-Pocasset School in 1978 and soon after enlisted in the United States Navy, serving for 17 years.
During his military service, he was in 22 countries, 3 continents, 2 oceans and multiple seas. He did his basic training in San Diego and was stationed to shipyards in Connecticut, San Francisco, and South Carolina. He served on 4 nuclear submarines, The USS Shark, The USS Dace, The USS John C. Calhoun, and The USS Frank Cable and was his longest submersion was 93 days with 139 of his shipmates.
He was currently employed with Midwest Towers as a drill press operator. He liked his guns and hunting. Jeff was very independent and marched to the beat of his own drum. All through his recent illness, he was strong and never complained.
Jeff was preceded in death by his father Ronald Douglas and his brother Scott Douglas.
Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Minco, Oklahoma under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
