Cindy Lou Brooks was born May 3, 1958 in Bishop, California to Father Les Jackson and mother Eve Jackson. Cindy Lou passed away on Friday, September 13, 2002. She moved to Cathey's Valley in 1971 and graduated from Mariposa High School in 1976. Cindy Lou married Pete Brooks of Cathey's Valley October 3, 1976 and their daughter Kristi was born on December 10, 1980.
Cindy Lou worked for Kingsview Mental Health. She was expecting her first grandchild in April of 2003. She was a member of The Native Daughters of California and The Mariposa Methodist Church.
Cindy Lou is survived by her best friend and husband of 26 years, Pete Brooks, daughter Kristi, sister Evona Sultenfuss of Clovis and brothers; Ted & amp; Del Hill of Baker, Oregon. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Cindy Lou was a proud survivor of breast cancer and her family asks that friends honor her by donations to The American Cancer Society in lieu of any flowers.
A memorial service will be held at Cathey's Valley Cemetery on Saturday, September 21st at 10 a.m.
