Chris Anthony Benfield Sr., age 62 passed away on Monday January 30, 2023. He was born in Mecklenburg County and was the son of the late Venner Benfield and Sue Benfield who survives. Chris cherished his family and will be missed dearly. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his sister Bridget Benfield and his niece Crystal Benfield. Those left to cherish his memory include his children: Chris Benfield Jr., Jenifer Bowman, and Kristy Hedrick; stepdaughters: Toni and Ashley Best, a granddaughter Naomi Benfield, his brother Venner Benfield III, as well as numerous aunts and uncles. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
