Talmadge Vaughn Sr., 78, of LaGrange, died Tuesday at Florence Hand Home.
The graveside funeral will be 11 a.m. today at Shadowlawn Cemetery, LaGrange, according to Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home, Inc., LaGrange.
Mr. Vaughn was born May 11, 1917, in Heard County, Ga., son of Ida Lee Smith and Linton Jackson Vaughan. A resident of LaGrange for 61 years, he was the former owner of Vaughn's Dry Cleaners and Perkerson Cleaners, former Exalted Ruler of the Elks Club, and a former member of the Moose Club and Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian W. Vaughn; a son, Morgan Vaughn of LaGrange; a sister, Flora Arrington of LaGrange; a brother, Alvin J. Vaughan of LaGrange; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
