Obituary copied from THE MONTPELIER (IN) HERALD newspaper book for Thursday, Oct. 20, 1955, page 1, column 3:
"HITE, Samuel V., 89, died Sunday (Oct.15). Survived by two daughters, Mrs. Claude Sills and Mrs. Hazel Felton; two sons, Harry B. and Wayne D.; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pearl Lesh. Star of Hope Cemetery, Barnes Chapel, Muncie." (Not sure why Muncie is included.)
