VIRGINIA SIMMONS to be Fall Bride.
Mr and Mrs Ernest T Simmons of Independence Kan announce the engagement of their daughter Virginia of Wichita to Gordon Adkins of Wichita. Mr and Mrs Ollie Adkins Portsmouth Ohio are the bridegroom-elect's parents. Double ring vows will be read Oct 26 at First Methodist church in Independence. Miss Simmons was graduated from Independence high school and Independence Junior college and attended Baker university at Baldwin Kan. She is a member of Phi Mu and Epsilon Sigma Alpha sororities. Mr Adkins was graduated from' Portsmouth high school and attended Uhlversity of Wichita. He served three years with United States air force in the South Pacific and Is head of the photographic department at The Wichita Eagle.
