Philip Withington was a sargent in the Revolution. He was the son of William Withington, b. Dorchester, MA Feb. 18, 1691 and his second wife Deborah Damon. On October 19, 1762 Philip married Rebecca Fuller, daughter of Deacon Jeremiah Fuller & Hannah (Newell).

They had ten children, all born in Stoughtonham (Sharon), MA:
