1st Lt. David Wilson Crofoot of the U S Army Airforce, 1884th Engineer Battalion was killed during World War II and buried in the Manila American (ABMC)Cemetery in Manila, Philippines.
A memorial stone was placed in the Quillin family plot in the Clayton Alabama Cemetery. He married Helen Quillin in Clayton Alabama on June 29, 1929. He was a graduate of Cornell University School of Engineering. He worked as engineer in the Alabama Highway Department paving roads and constructing bridges in the area and that is when he met Hellen Quillin. He later worked with the Missouri Highway Department. He volunteered for service.
