Robert B. Roberts was the son of Asa and Belinda Burnett Roberts. According to his Civil War records he was 5'7" tall,had blue eyes,light hair, and a light complexion. He enlisted into the Confederate States Army, Company A, 1st Battalion Calvary Regiment on 11/05/1861 at the age of 33. He received a disability discharge from Company A on 02/05/1862. He re-enlisted into Company E, (th Infantry Regiment of Florida on 02/11/1863 as a Corporal. He was promoted to Full Sergeant on or abt. 12/01/1863 and promoted to Full 1st Sergeant on 15 Nov 1864. He married Jestern Hancock and they had the following children: William B. Roberts b. 1853, John C. Roberts b. 1855, Charles B.Roberts b. 1858, Henry C. Roberts b. 1860, Eliza Roberts b. 1863, Martha Roberts b. 1866, Lily (LIllie) Roberts b. 1868, and Robert Roberts b. 1873. Robert B. Roberts was a farmer and lived his entire life in or near Columbia County, Florida.
