Clyde William Motley departed this world on January 31, 2023, surrounded by his family in peace, and is now free to witness the beauty of heaven.
Clyde was born in Tipton, Oklahoma August 2, 1948. Clyde grew up with his family living in the Walters and Randlett area. He graduated from Big Pasture High School in 1966 and moved to Gary, Indiana, to work for Inland Steel. While in Indiana, he met the love of his life, Kay. Clyde and Kay were married in 1969 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Lake Station, Indiana. In 1985 Clyde relocated his family back to Randlett and worked as a welder/fitter for B&W Fabricators in Wichita Falls, Texas, until he retired in 2011. After retirement, Clyde spent all his spare time with family and piddlin' in his shop creating yard art from found objects and children's furniture for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Vernice William Motley, his mother, Edna Mae Motley, and his older brothers, Wayne Rae and Vernice William Motley.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kay, of Randlett, OK, daughter Amy Wayt of Melbourne, Florida; Bryan (Cynthia) Motley of Santo, Texas, and Joy Motley, of Burkburnett, Texas, grandchildren, Drew (Kadee), Rebekah, Conner, Bennett, Channing, and Emma; and great-grandchildren Mahalia, Raelynn, Beaudry & Walter. Clyde is also survived by his siblings Laverne (Paul) Davidson, Billy Motley, Alice (Dickie) Davis, Richard (Flora) Motley & Berton (Doyla) Motley.
A memorial service is planned to be held at First Baptist Church of Randlett, Oklahoma.
