Hays -- Elizabeth A. Betty Weigel, 66, died Sept. 10, 2003, at Hays Medical Center. She was born Oct. 18, 1936, at Ness City, the daughter of Theodore and Adelaide Leiker Werth.

She was a homemaker. She belonged to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

On May 10, 1955, she married Kenneth F. Weigel at Hays. He survives.

Other survivors include: three sons, Terry, Perry and Tim, all of Hays; a daughter, Linda Leiker, Hays; three brothers, Arthur, Wichita, and Alfred and Orville, both of Hutchinson; a sister, Ruby Augustine, Hays; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Parish Vigil will be at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Brock's North Hill Chapel, Hays. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Hays. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Saturday at the chapel. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hays.

Memorials may be sent to Immaculate Heart of Mary Building Fund or for Masses, both in care of the funeral chapel.
