Actress. She became best known as Shirley Feeney on the television sitcoms "Happy Days" (1975 to 1979) and "Laverne & Shirley" (1976 to 1982). At the age of one, her family moved to Dallas, Texas but they returned to Los Angeles when she was 10. After graduating high school in 1965, she attended Los Angeles City College where she majored in theater. After graduating from college, she began her acting career in television commercials. Some of her first acting roles were in shows such as "Room 222," "Nanny and the Professor," and "Love, American Style." Not only did she land roles in television but she also had parts in several films like "Drive, He Said" (1971), "American Graffiti" (1973), "UFOria" (1985) and "Waiting in the Wings: Still Waiting" (2018). She also performed on stage in the national tours of "Grease," "Deathtrap," and "Moon Over Buffalo," and made her Broadway debut as daffy Mrs. Tottendale in "The Drowsy Chaperone" in 2007. In 2013, she reunited with Penny Marshall on the TV series "Sam & Cat" in 1 episode. In her 53-year career (1970 to 2023), she had roles in over 75 television, film and stage productions. In 1982, she married Bill Hudson of the musical trio, The Hudson Brothers and together they had 2 children, though they divorced in 2000. After a brief illness, she passed away at the age of 75.
